just a really fun day with my daughter.  we got up early and did the fort derussy biathlon, which was pretty good.  my knee is still bothering me, but i finished at 23:5something, (2.5 k run and 500 m swim), and my daughter did really well at her race.  she was last, but she really tried, which was all i cared about.  then we got home, gave her a shower, and then she went a friend’s birthday party, and i went to the gym.  afterwards, we came home, did some homework, and danced to some prarie home companion.  then she got ready for bed, but also watched muppets in space, or something like that.  just a great day, even though there were some not so great things along the way, in general, life is pretty good.

i think that i have to remember this when i struggle with stupid things at work or other parts of my life.  there is simple joy . . .
